Wooden Ships Comments on this Harry Feltham Gaff Cutter
Gaff cutter designed and built by Harry Feltham of Portsmouth in 1930.
A solid and capable boat that feels like a much larger boat than her 30’ LOD would suggest. Very spacious, comfortable cockpit and wide side decks make her an easy boat to sail.
Owned by a small handful of individuals who have each had the boat for long periods, a testament to her sailing qualities. In current ownership since 2004, the boat has been refitted and upgraded in recent years with new sails, rigging, engine and keel bolts as necessary. Professionally maintained in the Falmouth area, she is presented in very smart and ready to sail condition.
Fitted out with a comfortable interior giving up to 5 berths including 2 possible double berths. Simple systems with little to go wrong, this no nonsense and solid gaff cutter makes a wonderful family cruising boat. Her shallow draft opens up cruising areas off limits to deeper draft boats.
Very satisfactory 2026 insurance survey available.
