Tideway 12 sailing dinghy No.564.
Tideway 12 sailing dinghy built by Good Wood Boat Company, Cumbria in 2023. They are a class approved boat builder and this is the newest wooden Tideway 12 dinghy to be built.
Built to class rules so she can race within an existing fleet.
Slightly different to some Tideways after a request from the owner to reduce the annual maintenance requirements. The hull is painted outside instead of varnish, and the inner hull is finished with Deks Olje D1 rather than a varnish which means less time spent on maintenance. The thwarts can be taken out for better access to the hull and to enable to thwarts to be varnished in the workshop where they are easier to work on.
Used very little since launch with trips from Cumbria to Cornwall. Always kept undercover, washed down and well cared for during her short life.
An exceptional dinghy in near new condition at a much discounted price.

Construction
Clinker planked in Utile all copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers.
Brazilian mahogany sheer strake.
Varnished Utile transom with an oak stem and keel.
Mahogany inwhales and oak rubbing strake. Bronze fairleads and deck fittings.
Galvanised centreplate in a varnished mahogany centreboard case. Plate raised with a tackle.
Varnished mahogany drop plate rudder with bronze hangings.
Brazilian mahogany thwarts finished in varnish.
Rig
Gunter sloop rig in accordance with the Tideway 12 class rules.
Mast, boom and gunter yard in varnished spruce made by Collars.
Stainless steel shrouds and forestay to bronze chain plates.
Mainsail and jib by Jeckells Sails.
Spare second hand set of tan sails.
As new running rigging.
