Classic Yacht Brokerage Comments on this Gaffers & Luggers Lug Yawl Tosher 20’ Mevagissey Tosher built by the Gaffers & Luggers yard, Falmouth in 2003. The Gaffers & Luggers yard produced traditionally designed working boats built in GRP, all the appearance of a traditional boat with a very traditional design taken from one of the local Mevagissey Tosher working boats. The 20’ Tosher was the second smallest design in their range, large enough to be capable and safe but small enough to sail single handed and keep running costs down. Many of these boats were rigged as gaff cutters, however this boat is unusual with her elegant lug yawl rig making her very fast and striking to look at. A large open cockpit gives plenty of space, but she also has a cosy cabin up forward under the raised deck offering a single berth, heads and small galley space. This set up makes her suitable for single handed coastal exploring with a boat that can be easily handled, fairly shallow draft and space to stay overnight in comfort.
