Classic Yacht Brokerage Comments on this Morgan Giles 30 Morgan Giles 30 designed by Morgan Giles Ltd.  Hull built by Somerset Plastics UK and finished by the Morgan Giles yard in 1975. Bought by the present owners and sailed to Portugal where she was berthed for nearly 10 years before being sailed home recently. Classic lines with a long keel displacement hull and stern post hung rudder.  With a healthy ballast ratio in an encapsulated ballast keel she has all the attributes of a proper cruising yacht, a sea kindly manner and good performance for a yacht of this length.  Morgan Giles have decades of boat building and design history, with the advent of the new GRP material they made the transition by building proper yachts of classic lines in the new material.  These were successful boats and have proved themselves as excellent and capable cruising yachts.
