Owners Comments
Alexandra has been a home from home for me for the last 18 years. Bought from new at the Southampton Boat Show when my daughter was born and named after her, Alexandra has served my family and friends well. She has been sailed widely along the South Coast and has crossed over to France and the Channel Islands several times every year. She has always been very sound and capable in both light and strong winds and great fun to sail. She is faster than yachts of a similar size yet stable and solid. I have meticulously cared for her including full renovation of external teak every year to keep like new, internal curtains and blinds always kept drawn closed to preserve the interior wood joinery and annual lift out at Hornet Sailing Club for routine maintenance.
Within the past 5 years she has new sails, new chartplotter, new batteries, new cockpit enclosure, new running rigging, new smart charger, new folding propellor, new interior upholstery and new LED lighting throughout to optimise battery consumption. The only upgrade I would add now if I were keeping her would be AIS. A longer berth has become available to me so I am now upgrading to a similar but slightly larger boat hence this ‘reluctant’ sale. Alexandra has served me well and I have no doubt will be a pleasure for any new owner to enjoy.
